Everyone knows the name Pitney Bowes, but what does its namesake Pitney Bowes Credit Corporation stand for? When it came to recruiting and retaining top talent, the company was struggling, so Signature was brought in to get PBCC recruiting back on track.

Research proved revealing. Employees reported that when first hired, they unexpectedly discovered a warm, friendly, and pleasant work atmosphere. Research also showed that regional managers exerted control over their own marketing and advertising, resulting in inconsistent messaging. Signature’s approach to solving these problems was a new Ad Manual to be used for all recruitment advertising. It included guidelines and symbolism, and a corporate brand message that articulated key benefits of working at Pitney Bowes. It also allowed enough flexibility so the HR team could turn around regionalized ads quickly.

The result? HR saw a significant increase in the number of qualified candidates, and retention increased over the next two years.
